Project Linda Soccer Fundraiser - January 2008

Tim Leary's girls soccer team played against Fallbrook Friday, Jan. 18th, 2008, and both teams were wearing pink shoelaces and hair-ties. A booth was set up to pass out Breast Cancer Awareness information and Project Linda information. A few hundred dollars in donations were accepted for Project Linda at the game.

The event meant a lot to the girls. The team could tell how much Friday night meant to coach Tim Leary, and they were excited about being a part of the fight against breast cancer.

Both teams were excited to meet Linda's mom, Eleanor. Everyone commented on how gorgeous Linda was (from the picture on the Project Linda information).

Tim's team won the game, making Project Linda undefeated (North beat Poly in tennis in the initial 2007 fundraiser game).

Here are a couple pictures from the soccer game. The first one is the coin toss, which shows off some of the pink the girls were wearing that night. The second one is Linda's mom Eleanor waving to the crowd after the announcer introduced her and Project Linda.
